When’s the last time you thought about your story?
Life brings challenges that can shape how we see ourselves and the world.
Through narrative therapy, we can explore these experiences together and begin to understand, reshape and move forward from them.
Here are some of the ways I can support you through therapy.
Individual Counselling
-
Anxiety tends to loom large in people’s lives these days. Increasingly, life seems to be making our hearts race. Likewise, depression can go unchecked for many years in a person.
Whether it’s a tough period for your mental health, or an ongoing issue you live with, I can offer you a space to explore your experience of depression and anxiety safely and compassionately.
-
Do you find yourself lashing out sometimes? Shutting down? Withdrawing? Going without sleep? Racing thoughts at 3AM?
Life demands a lot of us. Whether you’re a teenager on the verge of adulthood, or a busy adult juggling a work-life balance, stress can eat away at us physically and emotionally. Stress leaves us disconnected from our loved ones and our truest selves. I use evidence-based practices to understand where stress and anger comes from and how to manage symptoms effectively.

When we have loved ones, grief is inevitible. Everyone will experience grief and loss in their lives. And we all need support as we move through it.
Everyone processes grief differently. Talking through our feelings, outlook and changes in life after loss is a vital part of healing. Red Hill Therapy integrates narrative practice into understanding loss in a safe and meaningful way.

Moving into parenthood, with any number of children, can be one of the most vulnerable and difficult periods in a person’s life.
I have a solid understanding of the mental health issues that arise after birth: let me walk you through them so you can heal, and begin to enjoy life with your children.
-
I have extensive experience in trauma-informed counselling.
Traumatic events, especially in childhood, can rewire our brains and change our worldview, altering our physical, mental and emotional wellbeing on a cellular level.
Generational trauma lives in in our DNA, passed down often without acknowledgement. The definition of a traumatic event is different for everyone - whatever you believe was traumatic for you might be different for another person. But whatever has happened to you, I’m here to help you heal.
-
Members of the LGBTQIA+ community are 100% welcome and celebrated at Red Hill Therapy. LGBTQIA+ people are more likely to experience poor mental health outcomes due to social stigmas and societal pressures to conform to cis-gendered and heteronormative standards.
At Red Hill Therapy, you can expect to feel completely secure in this therapeutic space as I support and affirm your gender identity, sexuality and sexual orientation.
-
I have worked as a counsellor for women and children healing from domestic violence, and as a men’s accountability counsellor for men who have been perpetrators of violence.
Domestic violence is not limited to physical violence, but also encompasses emotional, psychological, financial and systems abuse to wield power and control.
Recovering from this dynamic affects women, gender-diverse people and children to a disproportionate level.
In order to stitch the mental wounds domestic abuse can leave, let’s rewrite the story of your life - I will provide you the space and time to heal.
-
I have extensive experiencer working as a men’s behaviour change practitioner. This service helps men, in a compassionate & judgement-free space, unpack their use of domestic & family violence, examine their relationships work to change their behaviours towards their loved ones.
Narrative therapy works well in this setting - many men who use violence in the home carry generational trauma from seeing violence in childhood homes. Many men also hold unchallenged, problematic ideas about women and children.
Red Hill Therapy offers a space for men to re-learn who they are as brothers, uncles, fathers, boyfriends and husbands with an evidence-based and trauma-informed manner.
"There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you."
